Finding inner strength amidst the challenge
Let’s have a baby. Sounds so simple. You look around and everyone seems to have a family, but according to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention 6.7 million women are unable to become pregnant or carry a child to term. To narrow that down further, 1 in 8 couples of child bearing age are unable to conceive or sustain a pregnancy. So you realize you aren’t alone, but that doesn’t make it any easier. Or make it feel less of a project.
I know what you’re going through. I’ve been there. You and your partner are having the same talks that my husband and I had. Should we try medical treatments? Third-party reproduction? Adoption? Or should we stay a family of two? Do we have a choice or is it all up to chance?
Sometimes, what you need most is someone to talk with who can understand the highs and lows. That’s what I can offer you, as someone who’s been down that road. I have dealt with people’s insensitive comments, arguments with my spouse, the stress on careers, the isolation that develops with family and friends, and the financial burden.
While it may be hard to imagine now, you’ll get through this. I am here to help you find your way. By working together, you can systematically sift through your thoughts, feelings and options. You can achieve an understanding of what direction you want to take and be at peace with your decisions. When you collaborate with me, you’ll find the support to face infertility, the focus to concentrate on self-care and the tools to better manage the stress.
Whether you’re in Minnesota, national or international, find the support and assistance that will help you find, create and flourish.
