Giving Back – My New Mile

Today is the first day of the company, A Gift of Miles. While it technically took six months to launch the company, I feel that the true preparation for this endeavor has been in process for the last 10 years of my life… which have brought me to today… with all of you.

When I started to think about myself and this company, and what you may be dealing with in life… in some regards, our paths are parallel. Let there be no confusion, I am by all means NOT comparing starting a business with a person’s emotional and traumatic challenges in life, but rather I am saying that no matter what you are experiencing in life – there is always the unknown.

We never know how life will turn out for us. If you have already visited my website… you know that I have walked a lot of unknown and very emotional miles. While I have been doing this coaching for quite some time for family, friends and colleagues… I haven’t approached it this formally… which means I have no idea what the future holds.

Now to my readers and prospective clients, I think this is no different for any of you. If you are struggling with Reproductive Challenges, you wonder if you will become pregnant or be able to sustain a pregnancy. If you are struggling with Child Food Allergies you worry about how to keep your child safe and happy, not feel left out, etc. Or whatever stress you are dealing with in your life… sometimes you just don’t know how it will turn out. Life seems to always be wondering about the unknown.

No matter my results… I feel that I want to give a piece of myself back to the world. To help those that feel despair, unhappiness and stress and replace, or at least strike a balance with, those negative feelings with positive counters: support, compassion, hope and humor.

I want to give something back in a personal way… not in a clinical way… not in a psychiatric way… but in a, I lived it way – everyday.
